In a time when the world watches the war on Ukraine with bated breath, Dr Rudi Myhovych, the esteemed President of the Christian Medical Association of Ukraine (CMA), has embarked on a critical mission to Taiwan and Australia. His visit, necessitating special government permission, provided due to his pivotal role in providing aid during the war, highlights the gravity of his work and the profound impact of the CMA.

The CMA’s Critical Role in a Nation Under Attack

The CMA, in partnership with our NGO, OPT, stands as a pillar of support in Ukraine, delivering essential medical and humanitarian aid. Dr. Myhovych’s leadership in these efforts is invaluable, and his visit to Australia underscores the global importance of their mission.

A Focus on Recovery and Resilience

A key aspect of Dr. Myhovych’s Australian journey is to collaborate on advanced burns treatment methods, vital for victims of the conflict. His visits to the RBWH Burns Unit and Polynovo BTM will facilitate an exchange of knowledge crucial for enhancing the care of those suffering from severe burns.

Advocacy Through Experience: Speaking for the Voiceless

With the authority granted by his government to leave during wartime, Dr. Myhovych will articulate the needs of war-torn Ukraine, advocating for support, volunteerism, and global awareness through various speeches and community events.

Engagements and Media Outreach

Dr. Myhovych’s itinerary includes community gatherings, church events, and media engagements. These platforms will serve not only to inform but also to galvanize support for Ukraine, drawing attention to the work of CMA and OPT.
